    PULSAR 2019 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!! I added this to my 2019 5.7. Amazing doesn’t cover it. Nay sayers want to say it just makes the throttle more sensitive. It does, however that’s not all. Shift points are much more aggressive as well as the timing. Out of my primary mods, I added the Pulsar first and it was great. Then I added a Vararam Air Gabber and headers. My truck is seriously a beast in Performance mode. As you may have guessed, I didn’t buy this for the eco mode which as you would expect is a dog as it’s designed to be. I leave mine in Performance unless I’m towing the boat. Rather way, the best mod I’ve made. In fact, if I made just one mod it would be the pulsar. Hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Works on a 2019 5.7 Etorque. Must update the unit ! The PULSAR unit may NOT arrive updated but once updated this unit 100%works and well. WOKE up the HEMI. DIFFERENT ENGINE with the PULSAR. Instant response and less Thottle needed to accelerate. More Power and Torque that I noticed. Possibly 30/30 respectively. Ask for the Update cable or opt for the "Insight" which is what I did and I'm Happy I did. The INSIGHT will automatically update the PULSAR and you'll be able to change ALL the settings from the INSIGHT, then you can either leave it attached to the OBDII or Disconnect it. I left mine attached because it provides much more info than regular tachs and dash...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't expect big things I keep getting emails to review this product so here it goes. I bought this Pulsar for my new 2019 Ram Limited with 3.92 gear ratio. Installation was a breeze which is probably the only thing good about this purchase. I have not seen any change in MPG. 1500 miles prior to installation, I averaged 17.2 MPG. 1500 miles after Pulsar installation I averaged 17.4 not what I would call "worth it". On "tow" mode there is often "gear confusion (7-8)" when pulling a load. On "performance" mode top speed is still 105 mph and I have not noticed any gains in horsepower. THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN SEE THIS UNIT DOES IS CHANGE THROTTLE RESPONSE. I was expecting more. I would send it back. However, I can't find the box and shipping is on me. I guess i'll chalk this up to a poor buying decision. Hopefully there is something else better out there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be careful..does somethings well but... I installed the Pulsar and you can tell the difference in TOW and Performance. BUT when I went to program in the tire size and gear ratio it caused my new RAM show all stability control features and avoidance features as needing service. The techs were nice in trying to clear out the error msgs but it needs to go to dealer to clear out. Tech could not figure out what caused it and now they want me to send the Pulsar unit back to them to reprogram. So the story will continue....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 weeks and can't say enough good things about it 2019 RAM 1500 Limited 5.7L Hemi. I installed this within an hour of driving off the dealer lot. Unless you're a 6 footer it is a stretch to reach the bolts without a footstool. I did my install in a retail store parking lot. With that being said, once installed, the setup is easy. I adjusted for 3.92 gears and All-Terrain tires. I used the tire manufacturers numbers for the tire diameter and had to readjust to get the speedometer to match up with a GPS reading. After that, the Speedometer and MPG readings are spot on. The display readout at the top center of the gauge cluster, right under the RAM logo, is the best of any programmer hands down. The adjustments are instant and on the fly, just by pressing the up+ or down- of the cruise control. You see in plain English what tune is selected. It shares the cruise control up/down buttons so, if cruise control is set pressing the up/down adjusts your speed. All you need to do is disengage the cruise control, select the desired tune, and reengage the cruise control. I've been using programmers for over 15 years (A new truck every 3 years) and nothing has ever come close to the ease of use of the PULSAR. I like that the programs are stored on the PULSAR and the Truck PCM is not flashed, there is no trace if they scan your PCM. I'm 5' 8" and can change it back to stock, with a step stool, in less than 5 minutes. Just make sure you save the factory PCM mounting bolts. On the redesigned 2019 RAM 1500 the PCM is moved from behind the air box to the side of the battery box. Very easy access to install and return to stock for dealer service visits.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Working With 2019 Ram I bought this product a couple of months ago. It worked great for the 1st month and a half. Now every 50-100 miles my truck throws 6-8 codes and goes into limp mode. I removed the Pulsar thinking it may be the truck itself. Everything worked fine for a couple of weeks. I re-installed the Pulsar and within 100 miles, the same thing happened.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never left the driveway I really wanted this to work. Installation was easy, and straightforward. The first time I installed, I lost my backup camera, and my climate control did not function properly. I spoke with an Edge technician, tried a few things, then removed the unit. The camera and climate control were back the following morning. Edge sent a replacement unit within 3 days, but it it was worse. After another easy installation, the truck was very difficult to start. Once started, both the check engine and stability control lights were on. The truck remained very difficult to start, requiring extended cranking, so I removed the unit. I have returned to Edge and am awaiting my refund. Like I said, I really wanted this thing to work, but I never made it out of the driveway.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lost all uconnet function I bought this unit a couple of weeks ago and installed today in a 2019 ram limited. Lost most uconnect functions and called support and was told to disconnect battery for a while. Did not help; Took palsar out and still no uconnect functions. Taking to dealer tomorrow so see what's up. Lost back up camera, air conditioning, satalite radio, heated and vented seats plus much more. I have to say though that when the palsar was installed it worked as advertised. I will be sending it back for a refund. I liked the features but not worth having uconnet problems.

Does this prevent you from using your cruise control?

    Asked by: Chris34
The cruise control would still work with the pulsar installed. When cruise control is turned off is when you would be able to adjust the power setting for the pulsar and when you have cruise turned on cruise control would work as normal.

If this product doesn't void the manufacture warranty. Then why do you suggests taking it off, before going in for warranty work? Honestly, that statement makes me hesitant on purchasing your product. Thanks

    Asked by: Carlos24
It is very unlikely you would have a issue with warranty with this product, consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question. However, if you happen to take the vehicle for warranty work we recommend to remove the product to avoid conflict with the dealer. The Pulsar does not leave a trace if it was removed so the dealer can not tell it was there.

Is it possible to use Pulsar to remove the stock top speed limiter? Asking from Germany where this is relevant ;).

Unfortunately at this time the pulsar doesn't have the option to raise or adjust the speed limiter.

Are the modes tunable and will edge offer other tunes? i.e. Can I optimize for intake and exhaust setup?

    Asked by: Joe Clark
Unfortunately not with the Pulsar you aren't able to load custom tuning onto it at this point. The pulsar works good with a cat back exhaust and cold air intake but anything past that it is usually best to get a custom tune.

Is there going to be a separate pulsar for the etorque at some point? I installed one my etorque and it works great but wasn't sure if the same part number will be for both and if there will be a separate tune for etorque at some point via the cable?

    Asked by: jgoobs
The Pulsar is going to be a Powerteq brand that is made and sold by Edge, Superchips, and DiabloSport. It was engineered by the division that owns and operates our brands. It does offer the same tuning and features across the three different brands.

It says up to 30hp. It that stackable? In other words, is that in addition to the 18hp that I'm recieving from my cold air intake? So possibly, an extra 48hp on top of the stock hp.

    Asked by: NewrebelwithHemietorqe
Yes you are able to run a CAI with the pulsar but I am not sure what the exact hp number would be over stock to the wheels.
