EAS AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -40F to 230F is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outside Ambient Temp Sensor: Works Well + Thoughts The sensor works well! It's very convenient to see the outside temperature on the same screen as all the other engine/exhaust information (my 1999 F250 super duty diesel's OEM outside temp display stopped working). I do have three (3) suggestions: (1) Add 12" more wire length to allow for easier routing outside of the engine compartment to so engine heat doesn't affect temperature readings; (2) Modify gage alarm programing to allow for a LOW temperature alarm (like the temp display turning blue) when the outside temperature falls below a set temp (like 34F); (3) state more clearly on the web site/packaging that the Universal Sensor Input and Starter Cable system are needed to connect this EAS device to the CTS2 system (the packaging implied to me that this was included with the ambient temperature sensor). I was fortunate to have an USI port available from another EAS installation.

Does the CS2 have a display for this outside air temp sensor?

    Asked by: Mac05
The CS2 does have the option to read outside air temp on some vehicles through the OBDII port. However, if it doesn't have the option to read outside air temp on your vehicle then it can be added through our EAS system for more info give us a call at 888-360-3343.
