Connect Multiple Truck Gauge Accessories
The Expandable Accessory System (EAS) was created with future expandability in mind. The architecture of the EAS allows users to connect multiple truck gauge accessories, daisy-chain style, to the CS2 and CTS2/CTS3 platform. The ability to daisy-chain multiple accessories using the EAS allows users to monitor and display dozens of parameters on a single device.
The EGT probe is a sensor that allows users to monitor critical Exhaust Gas Temperatures to ensure added power is not creating excessive heat which, in turn, can cause engine damage. This kit is ideal for the daily diesel driver or if you are towing then it’s a must have! Towing can put a lot of strain on the truck and make it run hot. Don’t be left on the side of the road with an overheated truck because you didn’t watch your Exhaust Gas Temperatures with the Edge EAS EGT. With the EAS system, a user can connect multiple EGT sensors to monitor temperatures in different locations and compare readings to be even more precise.
A turbo timer is a device designed to keep an engine running for a pre-specified period of time or until a specific temperature is reached in order to automatically execute the cool-down period required to prevent premature turbo wear and failure. This also allows the lubricating oil from the engine to circulate properly so the turbine won’t burn the lubricating oil that would otherwise be trapped within the charger with the turbine rotating at high speed.
The EAS Universal Sensor Input provides the ability to read any 0-5 volt signal and translate that signal a meaningful value for display on the Edge CS2 or CTS2/CTS3. This means you can add custom temperature, pressure, Air/Fuel and even Travel/Position gauges to your Edge Insight, Evolution, or Attitude CS2/CTS2/CTS3 monitor! Using the Edge Accessory System provides the following benefits:
- Using the MyStyle software, sensors can be easily configured and renamed.
- Up to 8 Universal Sensor Input accessories may be installed in any order on the vehicle. Each Universal Sensor Input will support up to 2 sensors for a total of 16 additional sensors that can be added to your CS2 or CTS2/CTS3 device. NOTE: Sensors from manufacturers other than Edge can also be attached to a CS2 or CTS2/CTS3 device through the EAS Universal Sensor Input
- Eliminates the necessity of routing multiple wires to the CS2 / CTS2/CTS3 Monitor
Edge’s EAS Pressure Sensor is a 0 – 100 PSIg 1/8” NPT sensor that plugs directly into the Universal Sensor Input system (p/n 98605). Edge’s Pressure Sensor comes equipped with the proper wires and connectors to plug right into the Universal Sensor Input system saving time and money on cutting, splicing, and crimping wire terminals to connect the sensor. Use Edge’s Pressure Sensor to monitor data such as Boost PSI, Fuel Rail Pressure, Air Bag Pressure, Lift Pump Pressure, Pre and Post Intercooler Pressure, and many more. Tolerance: +-1.5% Full Span over the temperature range of -20C to 85C and +-2.4% Full Span over the temperature range of -40C to 135C.
The EAS Temperature Sensor is a -40°F to 300°F 1/8” NPT supplied with the connectors to plug directly into Edge’s Universal Sensor Input System. Using Edge’s Temperature Sensor you can monitor Transmission Temp., Differential/Axle Oil Temp., Oil Temp., Engine Coolant Temp., Air Intake Temp., Pre and Post Intercooler Temp., and many more. Use this in conjunction with the Universal Sensor Input and the CS or CTS monitor to allow you to view critical temperatures with the most state-of-the-art product on the market today.
The EAS Power Switch is a tremendous new feature for truck owners! Customers can now hook up accessories like aftermarket lights, air compressors, etc. and engage them from the CTS/CTS2/CTS3 device. Install the new switch and either use Edge’s MyStyle software to name your accessory or with the CTS2/CTS3 rename those accessories right from your device. The CTS2/CTS3 comes with an all-new screen layout that can monitor up to 6 gauges and 4 rocker switches for the ultimate control. Take advantage of Edge’s clean EAS daisy chain link system to turn your truck’s tools on/off.
If your vehicle is not equipped with an outside temperature sensor then this is a must-have! The EAS Ambient Temperature Sensor is a -40°F to 230°F Waterproof 0.2” diameter sensor ready to plug into Edge’s Universal Sensor Input system. Now you’ll never wonder what outside air temperature is again!
The EAS 12 Volt Power Kit enables any Insight CS2 or CTS2 to work with vehicles that don’t have an OBDII port! By connecting to a key-switch power and ground source, an Insight becomes a digital truck gauge display for anything that you want to monitor! With the separate purchase of the EAS system, you can monitor EGTs, pressure readings, temperature readings, and much more.
The EAS Control Kit gives the user the ability to monitor EGTs and adds the power switch to control multiple accessories with an On/Off digital power switch.
The EAS Competition Kit gives users the ability to monitor EGTs and add an additional 0-100 PSIg boost and -40F to 300F temp sensors for ultimate control. This kit is designed for those truck owners who have upgraded turbo or turbo’s and other mods, where the stock sensors just aren’t enough anymore. This kit is ideal for trucks participating in dyno competitions, sled pulls, and drag racing.
The EAS Data Logging Kit is for the ultimate diesel enthusiast! This kit gives users the ability to monitor EGTs in two different locations, two 0-100 PSIg boost sensors, and two -40F to 300F temp sensors for unmatched monitoring. This kit is designed for truck owners who have upgraded turbo or turbo’s, and other mods where the stock sensors just aren’t enough anymore. Truck owners who use trucks for dyno competitions, sled pulls, and drag racing needs this kit. Fine-tuning these trucks can be difficult, but with the Edge Data Logging Kit, you can log runs, view logs, and make adjustments as needed for maximum performance.
Edge’s all-new EAS Shift-On-The-Fly (SOTF) allows you to change custom tunes* “on the fly” utilizing the Insight CS2 or CTS2/CTS3. The EAS SOTF part numbers cover the 2011-2016 Duramax, 2010-2018 Cummins, and 2011-2019 Power Stroke. Customers can now change tunes right on the screen! Many companies use a voltage signal to change between their 5 tune levels when tuned with custom tuning software. Instead of drilling a hole in the dash, add the EAS SOTF accessory to an Insight monitor to control custom tunes* while driving down the road.
